UNDER construction !!!
Ocoloy vol.3 / 2025
For the third time I’ve decided to dedicate my year of photography to only one camera and one lens. This time the star of the show is the modern classic Nikon ZF with the legendary Voigtlander 40mm 1.2.
I’m going to post my top 5 photographs every month here on this page.
2025 years challenges
Starting on the the 11th of January 2025 and ending 11th of January 2026
Both the camera and lens is completely new to me and I’m switching from 6 years with Fujifilm and many more years with Canon to a completely new system, new menus and a fullframe sensor.
I hope this camera will take me on amazing journeys and let me see the world through new eyes.
Starting the 11th every month
January: BLACK AND WHITE
I love black and white and would like to take my time this dark and cold month in Sweden to learn how the lens paints my photographs. Every lens has its own rendering and stories. I see this month as a first date. A good time to hunt shadows, fog and contrast.
february: people free
No photographs containing any people. This month is dedicated to music in my headphones and long hikes around the area where I live. I hope for alot of snow and cosy moments. A month without any humans in the frame can be hard especially in a city where you also don’t want to take boring images. But it frees my mind and opens up new ideas and images I never would have seen before.
march: portraits
The complete opposite of my past month. Every image this month has to be a portrait. With an aperture at F1.2 this will be a dream project but I will also do a lot of environmental portraits at F5.6. I will try to expand my ideas of what is possible with portraits. I’ve been loving taking portraits my whole life
april: documentary
I’m going to try to document one theme this month and make a reportage about it. Hopefully for some magazines. It’s important to a have a theme sometime instead of just shooting away.
may: landscapes
The 40mm might not be a landscape lens but spring is in bloom and summer is on the way. I’m planning on a small roadtrip to some new areas in south Sweden to get creative. There are no mountains down here which I find makes it harder.
june: Streetphotography
I have a love & hate relationship with streetphotography. There’s too many rules and 99% of all images looks the same yet my favorite photographers and photographs I’ve taken have been in the world of streetphotography. In June I’m going candid with my Nikon and try some new approaches to streetphotograph. I would like to go on a trainride to smaller villages and capture the streets there.
july: 31 things i love
I’ve done a list of 31 things I love which wasn’t easy. I narrowed it down to one person, one type of food etc.. Some examples of things I love is Roadtrips, bonfires, canoing, surfing, hats, fog, forests, wind, concerts, lighthouse, trainstsations etc. Some things I can cram into one image. This month I will also print alot of these images
August: Tripod adventures
All images in August will be shot on a tripod. I own 4 tripods and almost never use them. If I use them it’s mainly for astrophotography which is pointless in August in Sweden. So this will be 100% new to me. I will buy a CPL and ND filter to play around with this month
september: vintage roadtrip vibes in colour
Muted colours and places on the road that takes my photographs back in time. This month will be shot only in colour and with classic filmrendering/colours on my mind. My van has a cd-player so I hope to bring some albums for the road as well.
october: minimalistic 1:1 squarecrop
I can choose a squarecrop setting in my camera which will be on for a month. I also plan to compose my photographs in a more minimalistic way. From portraits to street, fineart and landscapes.
November: black and white ISO 6400
Time to embrace the grain! Winter will be here and darkness is coming. My ISO will be set at 6400 together with the black and white setting for a month.
